This is a light purple hair curler set with Velcro closure. You will receive six (6) of each in four (4) different sizes. They come in a small vinyl storage bag. They also came with a couple (I didn't count) hair clips to keep the hair out of the way when rolling it up. We tried them on my daughter's hair as a recent cut left my hair too short to use. She has shoulder length hair and could use some more medium curlers. I wrapped her hair in it (wet from fresh shampoo). The first thing I learned is that these curlers do NOT like lots of hair at once. You can pinch just a little, otherwise the hair will fall to the side. I also had to put my hair in curlers to keep it in place. I think it would be better if we dried her hair faster with a hair dryer. Hair rollers have good air circulation. But we went to air dry. They were left on until she could no longer carry them on her head, about 45 minutes. You could use more time. So I started curling her hair at her request. - The first lesson: hair straightens, but doesn't like to fall out! If there is still moisture in the hair, it acts like superglue with these curlers. Wow! - Second lesson: start removing the curlers from the bottom, so that no extra hair can be put on top of other curlers. It seems easy but I kind of missed the 3 smallest curlers and it was NOT fun to come out of their hiding places - Lesson Three: Your hair will look a lot better when it's completely dry. It seems to detangle better, although I still had to take it off of each curler a tiny bit at a time. You can't just roll these things out. Have you ever walked through the thickets of burdock? Yes they are. So she got a little frizzy from those that dried out, but not enough to use all the time. I'm sticking with the pink foam types with snaps! Those purple hair curlers were a nightmare to get rid of her hair.
