This is my third air purifier and the first that has disappointed me. The first air purifier was the Germ Guardian AC4825, it was weak, very noisy, but it worked perfectly and since then I can't live without an air purifier. I bought a very large LEVOIT LV-H133 for another apartment. It works great and is significantly quieter than the Germguardian. Then I bought this little Levoit and so far I'm not impressed. It smells out of the box, the smell is noticeable even after a few days. It's quiet on the lowest settings, noisy on medium-high settings, and doesn't filter odors well. Also, my air quality meter shows that the more filtered, the dirtier the air gets. This is indicated with two independent sensors, see photos. (Yes, I removed the plastic from the filter and it installed well)
