just right for beginners I would like to buy a sewing machine so that I can tinker with something for a longer period of time. This is only set for beginners. Only two speeds, easy setup, small enough to carry around. I was trying to fix my daughter's masks that were too big for her. I sewed the sides on a machine I first used a sewing machine on, but it turned out very well. The mask was fixed and I learned to drive. The light above the needle made threading the sewing thread through the needle much easier. I recommend this for beginners.
