Lesson learned. I should have checked the return policy when trying to replace my lost thimble with types I had never tried before. I was drawn to this set because I love brass and they looked good on Revain. Forget copper. Three may be brass. These three were strong. Unfortunately, one pair is too strong to protect the nails to fit the shape of a finger (have square fingers?). not exactly my size to use. But the most disturbing is the fourth detail, the ring used when piercing the fabric with a needle on the opposite hand. There is a greater chance of blood coming from the corners of the raw edges of the ring (it was formed into a full circle and then sawed apart so it can be 'fitted') than from a needle. Governed by what becomes dangerous. Very disappointed with this purchase.
