The digitizer has dead zones, the glue doesn't hold.

Using this digitizer resulted in great disappointment. Installation went well (it's not easy, but it's not the product's fault - just a design feature of the iPad). Here is a summary: Installation: There are many good guides on the web to get the job done. The product fits perfectly which gave me hope. This isn't my first rodeo to repairing a broken screen. Unfortunately, the positive experience ended there. Ease of use: I was disappointed that the digitizer wasn't very responsive. There's a noticeable lag between the moment you touch the screen and the iPad responding. This leads to frustration when interacting with the tablet. When using an active or passive stylus, it will deviate very significantly from the target. Sometimes half an inch or more. This (obviously) also applies to use with the fingers, especially in the middle of the digitizer. It's almost impossible to interact with buttons and other UI controls once they're in this location. If the "keys" on the on-screen keyboard weren't so big, they probably wouldn't be usable either. For example, if you go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase All Content and Settings, it is not possible to select "Backup and then erase" in the portrait prompt. It will register as a tap on the "Erase Now” option below. Material quality: glue is short-lived. After just a few months, the digitizer no longer sticks to the case. I very carefully removed the old glue, scraped off everything but the last bit and then rubbed it down with alcohol. It was flawless. Clean. Without garbage. But the new screen won't stay in place.
