Blast Gun works very well. I love that I can clean solder joints so quickly. I wonder why I waited so long! However, all this convenience comes at a price, and the pistol requires additional maintenance. You need to constantly pierce the nozzle and spring filter with the cleaning needle during use, otherwise they will become clogged and lose suction. I also found it helpful to remove the spring filter after use and remove as much of the trapped solder as possible. It's not as annoying as it sounds, but remember that extra cleaning is required. As another reviewer mentioned, you have to wait a few minutes for the gun to warm up. When it's ready, the station will emit a loud beep to let you know. After 5 minutes of inactivity, the station turns itself off. The product contains several replacement nozzles and spare parts (e.g. spring filters, cleaning pins and filter pads). I like that these consumables can be purchased separately from YIHUA. I'm sure I will need them. I originally wanted to buy the Pro Digital ZD-915, but then found this model to be cheaper. I've had positive experiences with a YIHUA soldering station before, so this (and the availability of spare parts) made more sense to me. I've done a few projects so far and this gun has made desoldering a lot easier. I know there are more expensive options but for my needs this product met my expectations.
