I have to admit. I was willing to write a one star review. They were described as 1.75 inches thick and when I received them I was wondering if the description included both sponges together. But after a few days in my tank pan, they expanded nicely. Quality sponge and does what sump filter sponges do. Tank that does not come with filter sponges, I will buy again.
