My seller sent the cables and they arrived earlier than promised via regular 2 day mail with free standard shipping. USPS Estimated Time of Arrival, it arrived a day late but that was YOUR estimated time and according to Amazon it shouldn't be here before June 2nd which is 3 days later. I received them yesterday. Thanks to the seller for that, your experience may vary by retailer. Both cables connect and push onto my switch and computer which are standard RJ-45 PC connectors. The cables are clearly marked as Category 6 cables. Both cables are actually rated for 1GB transfer rates as my router provides both indicators (one for 10/100 transfer rate and one for 1000Mbps transfer rate) to confirm that these cables are indeed working at high speed to run. The part of the cable that does not hook is exactly as shown in the photo. One of the ends of my cable had a tab over the non-clutch part that people might have trouble with, but with a little tweaking I was able to fold the tab without snagging, allowing the tab to be slid in place, and it worked fine. This only happened on one connector of one of the two cables I purchased (4 connectors total). If you don't like it, you can just bring a pocket knife to a jagged edge and cut it off if it gets in your way. No damage, no foul. Not being "white" as people complain, they seem pretty white to me. I don't know what others are complaining about. Maybe it's more of a cream color, or their color they're trying to match is "perfect white," I don't know. Personally, I don't really care much about the color, but for me it's whiter than my beige walls, so I can't blame the manufacturer. Maybe they have a bad paint batch or are color blind. I have no idea, but they look white to me. You still won't hide the wires with the right color. Run them through the ceiling or paint them the color you want. Mine ran down the hall with brown tape and then were covered with a rug. I don't see her at all. The only thing you can be sure of is protecting the cable if you plan to bury it. The body looks weak from the outside. So I wrapped mine in duct tape before putting it under the rug. I hope this helps hold it together. It also kinks fairly easily, but with proper handling you shouldn't have a problem with it. Just don't kink the cable or pinch it yourself, don't try to pull on the corners or anything similar. (You know, common sense). Overall these cables do what they promise and I bought two of these and both were identical and worked. My kids can play Minecraft online again and are happy, so I'm happy. These are way better than others that bait and switch. My last sentence was like that, this one isn't. The price is also unbeatable. Mine costs just under $7 per cable. For a 50 foot Cat6 cable you won't beat this price at Best Buy or any other well known brands. If you get a 6" cable at this price, you're in luck. Easy 5 stars.
