I use these in place of my Turtle Beach x42 headphones I've always had. X42 were the best in a long time, loved them. Bought these for my Xbox 360 and had them until I got the X series at which point the receiver stopped working. I would still use them if they didn't. In any case, the 100% wireless performance of these headphones is really good. It's a big change for me, I don't have to worry about cables anymore. One thing I don't like is that even though the X42 had 4 different presets, they only have 2 and for some reason one of the two presets sounds TERRIBLE. It sounds like all the sound goes through the tin can. The first game I tried them in was Prey and it had a lot of high pitched monster sounds. and it literally hurts my ears. At that moment I was very disappointed with these headphones. but I kept playing with it and finally found that this particular preset sounded so bad. Once I switched to another one and played around with the app a bit more (the app is good but could use more tweaking) I finally had good sound. In fact, they sound great. You just have to make sure you don't use that awful preset. There are only two of them, so it's not hard to figure out which one is bad. , the bass is really good, and the ability to plug in your phone while gaming is a game changer. I no longer need an ear free to listen to YouTube while gaming, instead I can hear my phone through my headphones. It is so sweet. In any case, I doubt anyone will read this, but if you think they look like you need them, then go for it. You're worth it.
