I bought these for a summer job as a deckhand on a schooner in New York. After an hour, the sole came off the canvas body, and the canvas tore after a couple of days. After 3 weeks the entire body of the shoe detached from the sole. I've never seen a pair of shoes fall apart like that. Total POS. It's a shame because I used to love the Sperry brand. I would still consider buying their vintage leather pumps. But their canvas shoes are rubbish. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I threw them away and bought a pair of Vans. To sum up, Sperry's might be ok (for a few days) if you want to LOOK like you're on a boat. actually be on the boat, buy some vans.
