They definitely get the job done. I wear a size 8 Air Jordan and they fit comfortably over them. The downside is of course the elastic part that wraps around the foot. At least in contrast to rubber, it does not cause friction between the floor and the shoe. Luckily that's not a problem on asphalt. It's only a problem if you use it on a wooden floor/tile, but there's no point in using it indoors. A possible update of this product that would improve it slightly would be to make the elastic part thinner (less wide, not thinner). material) when wrapped under the shoe. This allows the bottom of your shoes/boots to have more direct contact with the road. Or provide a "rougher" material for the underside of the tread. Overall a good product. The elastic doesn't interfere with stops on the way to and from school, but there's a slight difference. Serves its purpose and protects my shoes. Easy to remove by simply opening the main cover. The installation requires a little more effort.
