I used to buy Stinky John screw caps - I bought 1/4" screws. But I needed caps for my Kohler powder room in the powder room and didn't want to mess with measuring the screws. These universal caps fit perfectly. Just push in with some force and turn to allow your screws to "thread" the cover. One cap gave me a little trouble because it fitted snugly over the ceramic tiles of the toilet. I tapped it lightly with a hammer and continued to push and twist the cap. After that the cap sat flush on the china. I'm glad Stinky John came up with these universal plugs for people (like me!) who aren't too handy and have no idea what size the toilet bolts they have.
