I didn't realize I had long toilet screws until I bought the short caps and they didn't fit. They fit long screws! However, I found them very expensive. 10? The cost is about $5. But you gotta do what you gotta do. Those screws were ugly. haha

We lost our toilet lid many years ago. I've come across many brands that require tools to install new caps. I didn't want to make a project out of it. Then I found this brand and they save lives. They look good, are sturdy, bolt on with no extras, hold up and ship very quickly. This is a great product that makes our toilet look so much better without those pesky screws.

These Ground Screw Cover Caps may seem a bit pricey, but they certainly work like a charm. I had some floor screws that were too long on a newly installed toilet, the caps that came with them didn't fit properly, they didn't cover the whole screw. You've done this and they screw into place so you get a nice fit and no more twisting of the lids when cleaning. Bottom Line: If your ground screws are too long, these covers will work. You did it for me!

Whoever installed my toilet didn't bother to cut the screws and neither did I intend to. I couldn't find any matching caps at my local hardware stores. These worked fine. The only problem is that they are extremely overpriced compared to what is available in stores at a quarter of the price. I think you're paying for the convenience of not having to cut the screws.

This toilet lid needs an overhaul as it doesn't fit screws of different heights. The inner pin that threads onto the screw sits high in the cover and won't snag on shorter screws. The mounting shaft needs to be longer to allow shorter bolts to be hooked. If this design change does not take place, the manufacturer must at least state that the cap is only suitable for larger/longer toilet screws of a certain length.

I had to reset two toilets because I replaced the floor underneath. Well I've come to the conclusion that the fasteners that hold the old caps in place are gone. A toilet I haven't had a lid on for over 5 years. I bought 2 sets of these and when the Revain truck left I had beautiful new screw caps! No fuss, no mess, no complaints. I used them with Fluidmaster Better Than Wax universal toilet sealers without wax. Long bolts did not have to be cut. Thank you Stinky! A bit expensive though.

Super fast delivery, the product was well packaged so that there was no damage in transit. As others have said, one cap fit perfectly and screwed on easily, but the other cap would not screw all the way down no matter what I did. I ended up sanding it down the middle so it won't come off now either! I applied some sealant, squeezed it and held it until it stayed in place. This should work until the seal starts to loosen. I used to buy Stinky John screw caps - I bought 1/4" screws. But I needed caps for my Kohler powder room in the powder room and didn't want to mess with measuring the screws.
