Review on Wingbrake: The Ultimate Driver Training Brake for Students, Teens, and Instructors by Gary Christon

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Easy to install/remove, does the job, weak installation mechanism, expensive

The product installs/removes very easily as stated in the product description. Compared to the complexity of installing a passenger side brake pedal, this is surprisingly easy. The install/uninstall part seems a bit lame so I'm not sure how long that will take. It brakes well, which is the main criterion. Braking is done by squeezing the handle, which pushes the brake down. It is carried/dangled from the mirror and sits on the brake port just behind the brake pedal. Since the joystick only extends to the middle of the vehicle, the instructor (passenger) must sit opposite the driver so that he/she holds the steering wheel with his left hand and brakes with his right. This is quite an uncomfortable position to sit for more than 5-10 minutes. I wish the control stick on this Wingbrake was longer and closer to the passenger seat.
