I was hoping these combs would be the same as some of the others I've bought recently (but they were WAY more expensive!) which also had a metal "rat tail" at the bottom had crest. While these combs did contain a metal component, and I can't exactly MEASURE the material (since I don't have a lab or lab equipment), my "guess" is that these combs don't appear to be made of metal. made from the durable carbon fiber they claim to be because that's what happened to my first comb after the first use. My hair is quite thick and long and when I tried to comb my hair the comb couldn't reach my head. Unfortunately, I broke a few teeth off the comb while brushing my hair. Unfortunately, this product did not work as I had hoped! 😬
