These Sweet Alice Salt and Pepper Mills look great on my kitchen counter. They work fine too. I really like how easy it is to adjust the amount of ground spices. You can leave your pepper or salt coarse and coarse, or grind them finer by turning the knob on the top of the shaker. While they look good and even come with a small tray to stand on, they are a bit heavy and their size and shape make them too easy to tip over. I also find it odd that every coffee grinder says "Sweet Alice". I understand it's trademark, but it's unrecognizable, which is probably why most people wouldn't want it to be so openly displayed. But they work well and look very nice. I like them for my own kitchen, but the odd name and heavy lid keep me from gifting this set.
