When I took the time to analyze the cost of ordinary florescent bulbs vs LED bulbs, it really was a no brainer. When you consider the savings you will see on your electric bill, these bulbs will pay for themselves in no time, not to mention what you will save due to the life expectancy of LEDs vs florescents. Buying the bulk quantities also reduced the overall cost of replacing all 40 bulbs in my shop (nice). I was able to easily rewire all the fixtures in my shop to accommodate this style of bulb, and the light quality was awesome when compared to the old florescent bulbs I replaced. The only downside I see is making sure the right style bulb is used when the time comes to replace these. I created a label to print out and apply to each bulb and each fixture to remind me (or inform someone else who may need to know) that the fixture has been modified to accommodate the style bulb currently used in the fixture, and must be replaced with the same style bulb.During shipment, one bulb was damaged from poor handling from someone in the supply chain. Unfortunate, but accidents do happen. Easily replaced by supplier, even though they may not have been the ones that caused the damage to the package they used for shipping. Good packaging, just not indestructible. Considering the type of blow the package must have received during shipment, it's amazing only one bulb was damaged and unusable.Overall, very satisfied with my decision to make the change to these LED replacement bulbs.
