This 8MP 4K Smart PoE camera from Amcrest continues its tradition of thinking of everything, giving you more than you pay for in a stylish package you can be proud of. amazed at the image quality compared to my five year old 2 megapixel Amcrest cameras. It's day and night. I work in the video industry and I can't understand how they can get such a great picture from such a cheap camera - even in pitch black darkness. They keep improving their game. Of course, Amcrest includes everything in the kit: camera, quick start guide, cable glands, screws and mounting template. But they even give you an Allen key, which you need to tighten the security ring on your camera once you've got everything in place and focused. Always a nice touch. The Quick Start Guide contains handy links to websites with much more detailed and up-to-date information. It is far wiser to do it this way than to keep printing outdated books. Three shots of the messy garage in my cabin show very bright LED lights, then just a magazine clip light, and then total darkness. Clarity stays the same - 4K images stay crisp even in the dark. And there is no noticeable noise in the frames. It is wonderful. I use my Amcrest cameras (I have over 30) with Blue Iris so I don't use their cloud recording service. But my son uses it and is very happy with it. You get 30 days free with the purchase of this camera, after which you will be charged. I love being able to look at my cameras from the Android app (they do that for iOS too). If I didn't have a Blue Iris remote, it would be nice to be able to look into the cabin remotely at all times. You can also save videos directly in the camera to a microSD card. How's the connection? I connected the camera to a PoE switch, opened the Amcrest IP Config Tool and after about 20 seconds the camera showed its IP address. Of course, there are many things you can change using the camera's web interface, but it's ready to use right out of the box. That's what I REALLY appreciate about Amcrest - their stuff works the first time, every time. Result? If you want great looking 4K, 8MP video at a REALLY cheap price, you can't go wrong with Amcrest - every time!
