Review on ๐Ÿ’ก Philips White LED Bulbs, B01AHLY6WO, 8.5W by Darrin Lucas

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Cheap lamp that works well

I have been using Philips LED lamps exclusively for 5 years. This particular model is the cheapest Philips light bulb you can find in 2020. When they work, they're great. 2 out of 10 lightbulbs burn out in 5 years. The rest keep getting stronger. I personally like the "Soft White" 2700K sold in this listing. If you like the seemingly brighter, less yellow and more blue light, get the 5000K "Daylight" version. My original bulbs were 8.5 watts. A NOTICE. These bulbs are rated at 10W (not 8.5W as advertised). They appear to be the latest iteration of the same model. They are a little lighter than the older version and look a little "cheaper". They are also listed as "Designed for Eye Comfort". It's a bit frustrating that Philips offers so many different versions of the 2700K 60W LED replacement bulb. It is difficult to determine what exactly is the difference between them and why some are rated at 7 watts and others at 10 watts. If you are looking for lower wattage they have 7w glass bulbs which cost more. Another thing to consider is that these new bulbs start up a millisecond faster than the old ones. Mixing them with old bulbs in the same fixture is noticeable and can be distracting.
