The HDMI cable works perfectly and actually feels reliable and not cheap, the connectors are gold plated, the included USB cable allows the controller to be a reasonable distance from the PS3 charge much further than the cables that originally came with the console but I now have 4 USB cables of this type as you can't just buy a HDMI cable from Sony. It is what it is, the picture quality is excellent and it can run at full 1080p, but there is one problem – the price. Why do companies market their consoles as next-gen HD gaming and then go back and charge you for their consoles to display true HD. It's like a company that sells the fastest car in the world, and when they bring it to your home in a flatbed truck, it's only then that you realize the tires aren't included.
