Each shaker consists of three parts: a spice jar, a top lid with three pouring options (pouring hole, large hole, smaller hole) and a round rotating disc on top with a hole that allows the Allows user to select fill option. The round disc is attached to the top cap with four very small plastic pins in the center that allow it to rotate. Opening the box reveals the shakers wrapped in bubble wrap. One of them was fine. In another, three of the four small prongs in the spice jar spun and broke off the spinning disc. Therefore, the spinning disk does not rotate, casting selection is not possible, and the only available use of this device is to use it as a shaker with three holes on top. (To even use this utensil, fairly large portions of salt or pepper would have to be preferred. I couldn't help but wonder what quality control was in place to allow this piece with three broken pieces (clearly visible in the spice jar) that came in Must be bubble wrapped, boxed and shipped to the paying buyer. Then I checked the packaging box and all questions were answered with "Made in China".
