Review on Nikon AF Nikkor 35-70mm f/3.3-4.5 Lens: Versatile Zoom Lens for Nikon Cameras by Tonya Brooks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Small, light and portable lens

After buying the Canon FD 35-70mm f3.5-4.5 on sale, I longed for its small size and light weight for my Nikon kit. After researching my options, I came across this autofocus NIKKOR with nearly identical specs, and despite the negative reviews, I took the leap of faith. I'm glad I did? People are quick to criticize this lens, but the truth is that it's surprisingly good for its size. Slightly larger than the average regular lens, its modest 2x zoom range is very comfortable and pleasant to use. Smooth zoom with good damping and fingertip manual focus. Sharp enough and does exactly what it's supposed to do... reduce the size and weight of my full frame DSLR. One of my favorite lenses.
