Designed for kittens, but older cats will still use it.

This scratching post is definitely made for kittens, not cats. While both of my cats still use it, they don't use it with the frequency that they use something that allows them to stretch. The handles are much thinner than regular cat scratchers. Both of my cats weigh between 16 and 20 pounds. I bought these in August 2020 and by August 2021 I had to replace one of the stands as they were completely broken. In addition, the sisal thread was loosened and unwound on one of the posts.
