This is a really great product. Especially for the price. It's a no-brainer compared to my old setup. Before stumbling across this gem, I used a plain old computer fan I ripped from Dianna's computer and an old camcorder battery I salvaged from my adult film days. It didn't have any complicated settings or newfangled protection that's in everything now. It was either on or off and touching it at work would cut my fingers and that was the case until I found this product. It's slightly larger than my old fan so it fits comfortably in my back pocket, with plenty of cable to get to my new power supply that I keep in another bag or in my bag, and it keeps the air moving. The HML switch is small enough to fit through my belt loops, and with a little planning, the cord can easily be routed through my belt loops, while the switch is conveniently located on the side for easy access. By threading it through the belt loops, I also keep the extra cord from getting snagged on my swinging arms or those damn doorknobs that Dianna insisted on when we remodeled our house last year. I couldn't believe how great the HML controller is for controlling fan speed quickly and easily. Different speeds are ideal for different occasions. The lowest speed is great for maintaining airflow and keeping my pants cool and dry, while the highest setting is great for quickly eliminating increasingly unpleasant odors. And so quiet. The fan is silent even at maximum speed. No awkward "What's that buzzing?" questions from people I got with my old fan. Without the constant cool breeze I would have forgotten it even existed. Grilles on both sides - MANDATORY. Thought I'd just take them off but they offer great protection on either side of the fan. I no longer cut my fingers taking the fan out of my pocket if I forget to turn it off. I haven't had to put a new bandage on my finger for several days. And no more clumsy attempts to adjust the fan in the heat of battle when it gets caught on a bag's lining. My old fan kept sticking to the lining of my bag. But the grille still keeps the fairing away from the fan blades. And the trellis is skillful too. Only once did I manage to squeeze it hard enough to make contact with the fan. But that was only because I accidentally sat in the metal bleachers at Matthew's baseball game while it was still in my bag. But even then, the grille rebounded and didn't flex at all. It's still as straight as 4th of July bunny ears. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a pocket fan. I love it so much I've already bought one for work, one for my pickup truck, one for Dianna's car and even one for David because I know he's just going to love it. There's nothing quite like having a cool crevice in the summer heat and being able to disperse those uncomfortable gas attacks after Dianna's world-famous enchiladas and warm apple pie. Just the other day Diana and I went shopping. I slipped it out in the grocery aisle at Walmarts. I flipped the switch up and within seconds the fight was over. The poor girl who was stacking carrots started coughing because she thought some of her food had gone bad. But for a change nobody looked at me.
