Find Costumes - USB Fan

I have a costume mask with lenses through which I can see that they regularly fog up from breathing. I installed one of them in the mask, facing the lenses, and ran a cable through my suit to a phone charger sewn into my shirt. It worked PERFECTLY. A full day of clear vision at low speed and a light breeze at high speed. Very quiet. Even at high speed, the noise wasn't that noticeable and literally touched my head.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!

Works well enough. Not silent.

It makes a constant buzz when low or high. The higher the fan speed, the louder the hum. At night I set it to a minimum and do not disturb sleep. During the day I use it at an average level, and although I can hear it, it easily dissolves into background noise on reflection. I use this little fan in my 12x12x12 terrarium to keep air circulating. I have an 80mm fan, but I think it's too much for such a small tank, even at low speed, so the 40mm fan provides the necessary circulation. I am happy…

Perfect - 1cm Thick - USB Fan

This variable speed fan with on/off switch for High, M, Low on the cord is just what I needed. My NAS has two mSATA cards that attach to the back of the motherboard where there is no airflow inside the case and they get very hot. So I cut a round hole in the metal cover, attached a 4.5" speaker grill to the hole, and attached this slim fan directly to the speaker grill with small screws and rubber O-rings (see image). mSATA drives remain in good condition. and cool, and this fan is not at all…

Switch failed on day one.

I don't know what's wrong with the switch but all 3 settings have stopped working. So I cut the wires and bypassed the switch, now I have a high speed fan that is still quiet and it cools the GPU heat pipe where I removed the broken fan that failed. This is not a direct replacement and I had to install it outside the case after changing the hot air exhaust port. Now I need to reverse the polarity to make the fan blow air. I'm disappointed that the switch failed but I still had to reverse the…

Great little fan with good airflow

I was looking for a small fan for my Gargoyle Gecko as it has been hot lately and to improve overall airflow. I first stumbled across another tiny computer fan, but when it arrived it was big, clunky, and noisy. I returned it and bought this one instead and omg this is one of the best little fans out there. I modified mine slightly by cutting out a 4cm x 4cm grid square and then screwing it to the front of the fan to make it pet safe as my gecko is an arboreal species. Pros: The price is pretty

In general, it works well. USB power delivery comes in handy for my project, and the 120mm fan definitely produces more CFM for less noise compared to the 80mm fan. Noise levels are very reasonable, although at medium or high levels (which is what you probably want), it's still very noticeable hiss. I don't think it will bother you, even at high frequencies, unless it's close to your ear (and even then it doesn't hurt, just annoying). However, I really don't think the CFM rating is correct. On…

Buy one for each family member

This is a really great product. Especially for the price. It's a no-brainer compared to my old setup. Before stumbling across this gem, I used a plain old computer fan I ripped from Dianna's computer and an old camcorder battery I salvaged from my adult film days. It didn't have any complicated settings or newfangled protection that's in everything now. It was either on or off and touching it at work would cut my fingers and that was the case until I found this product. It's slightly larger…
