My 5 year old can't put enough pressure on his carseat button to release himself. He's old enough and mature enough not to unbuckle unless we are completely stopped. He sits on the passenger side while my daughter who is rear facing sits behind me, so I was having to crawl to the backseat to unbuckle him on rainy days or walk around to get him while holding my daughter. Now he can unbuckle himself easily.I gave a 4 star review because it does seem like thick plastic, but worry it could break. Well worth the money if your child is mature enough to not unbuckle while driving.
