As someone who has done renovations on a few homes I own, I'm glad I stumbled across this tool when I was looking at a Watched YouTube video to brush up on my drywall skills before remodeling. my big room This Tape Buddy has helped me tap vertical and horizontal butt joints, as well as factory (tapered) joints, more effectively. I've used it on inside corners as well, but not sure yet if I prefer to use it for that. For all flat joints, the tool helps me get the perfect amount of joint compound under the tape without spilling it all over the wall for horizontal joints. I tend to thin the dirt too much which makes taping the horizontal seams pretty messy, but with Tape Buddy I get perfect results almost every time. Inside corners are a different matter. I think I'll have to watch instructional videos on YouTube and the manufacturer's website to get familiar with the technique. Anyway, I've never been good at inside corners. I have yet to find a tool and method that would give me confidence in it. I don't think it's a bug in the 3+ different tools I need to get the job done. I'm sure it's just user error and lack of experience. Here's a tip for getting the most out of your Tape Buddy: After you've filled the tank, cover it with Glad Press N' Seal plastic wrap. It's like cling wrap on steroids. It sticks very well to Tape Buddy's plastic tape. This way you can take your time and even take a lunch break or whatever without worrying about the dirt in the tank drying up on the top or rim and little crumbs getting under your tape on the wall. You will find that this works very well.
