Nice looking light with nice light color for bedroom

This light looks great in the 2 small bedrooms (3m x 3m) I installed it in. They provide sufficient light for these rooms and the light quality is soft, warm and natural. The outer body is made of metal. Rigid and light. If you dress up the electronics I don't see why you couldn't repaint them a different color if you were so inclined. The lamp cover is made of plastic. You simply twist it clockwise to lock it. Turn counterclockwise to remove. Easy enough. I gave it a 4 star rating as I had some installation issues. As you can see from the photos the bracket had 2 sets of screw slots. Which one you use depends on the size of the switch box in which you are installing the device. In my case, the spacing between the holes in the switch box required that I use the innermost threaded slots on the bracket. This shouldn't have been an issue, but I encountered two problems: 1) The heads of the included hardware screws were too big to fit the slotted hole. The idea is that you need to screw the screws into the electrical box first, mostly inwards and leaving some of them sticking out. Then lift the body of the mount by aligning the screw heads with the slots, push up, rotate the body, and then screw the screws all the way in to lock the mount. I tried this only to find that the screw heads would not fit in the case cutouts. So I had to undo all the cable connections so I could get the case out of the way so I could remove the screws. 2) So no worries about problem #1, I just line up the case with the screw holes (after connecting the wires) and then screw in the screws. But it wasn't as easy as it should have been. The problem I had was that the LED driver control box (the big white round block inside the fixture) was very close to the screw slots I had to use. Also, next to these slots are the wires coming out of the LED driver. It was a tricky process getting those screws in while rubbing against the LED driver box and the flimsy flimsy wires coming out of the box. Everything was fine once, but what a torture it was, especially since I'm working on something over my head. But once everything was installed the light looked great. Since I bought 2 packs, the lessons learned from the first install made the second install much faster. Hope this helps you too. Oh, and these are dimmable lights, but I didn't use dimmer switches, so I can't comment on the quality of the dimming function. At full power I didn't think these lights were overloaded. You were right.
