Engine Burned Out in a Week -- DO NOT BUY

Long story short, engine burned out in a week and now this thing squeaks like a banshee when turned on. Otherwise it doesn't work. Check out the videos in other 1 star reviews and you'll see what I mean. Go for something different! YOU'RE WELCOME! I buy higher quality hair dryers maybe every few years - I usually spend $150-$250 on a hair dryer because I know it lasts longer, has all the attachments you need, and just runs faster on longer hair. like my. I researched hair dryers to death and chose this one because I was familiar with the brand, liked the vibrant color and felt it fit the bill. The first few uses worked fine but the real test came on a trip to Europe where a hotel would have a hair dryer but nothing with a diffuser and the power I really need. I packed this hair dryer, confident that it would help me survive my escape. Not right. I pulled it out to use it and plugged it into an outlet I bought for the trip and it started SCREAMING and choking. A distinct smell of burning pervaded the air. I turned it off, kind of thinking I might be using the adapter incorrectly, but no. Everything else worked for him. I also carefully packed the hair dryer; I've NEVER had a problem with expensive hair dryers, so I'm 1000% sure it's not a packaging issue: no parts were missing or rattling in the hair dryer's belly. Nothing has chipped or broken. So confusing. I waited too long to get it back because I was so hoping that if I give it a little break it will sort itself out (maybe there's something in there? Maybe it's overheated? I know), so I'm just going ran from $200. Please DO NOT buy this dryer. Absolute junk. Big disappointment for a brand I've seen across Calabasas.
