Can not praise this device. We rescued a 4 year old who is part Great Piranha and part Brittany Spaniel. She got angry when the doorbell rang and barked insatiably at people walking by our backyard. Our backyard faces the sidewalk so people pass by all the time. We tried swearing at our dog and splashing water on him but nothing helped, especially the doorbell. I bought this device and our dog HATES it. The first time we tried it, someone rang my doorbell - when she started barking like crazy I said "NO BARKING!" and when she kept barking I pushed the button. She flinched and stopped barking. I got someone to ring the doorbell again and she started barking again - I said sternly "NO BARKING!" again and when she kept barking I pushed the button and again she stopped, jumped back and looked at me anxiously. It only took about 5 tries before she realized that if I said "NO BARK" or was about to press the button, she had to stop. Now when the doorbell rings, she barks very softly, and when I say "don't bark," she stops immediately. Ditto barking from pedestrians and joggers along our back fence. Best $19.99 I've ever spent. We enjoyed our well behaved rescue dog much more. And it's NOT a stun collar, so it doesn't hurt - she just hates the sound so much she'll do her best to keep me from pressing the button.
