These shocks are a great fit for the 80's CX500 Custom I'm working on. Waaaaah better than stock and not too expensive for good shock absorbers. There are cheaper ones out there, but they're so cheap, and why would you use $1,000 shocks on a $1,500 bike? In any case, they are about 2.5 cm larger than the original, but allow for more/correct flex. They also align the bike so that the rake/trail changes a bit. Not a big deal on a bike like this, but if you're worried. . You will also need to drill out the spacers provided to mount the struts.
