Review on Franklin Sports Anywhere Basketball Arcade Game: Tabletop Shootout for Indoor Fun with Kids Game Room - Electronic Basketball Game by Mark Hamblin

Disappointing size and quality for the price

I have a daughter who loves basketball but due to health reasons she had to cut back on her game and eventually gave up. She still enjoys all things basketball and shooting outside of competition. I thought it would be a great gift for her but was shocked when the box arrived. The box was badly dented, but also very small. I thought it was a board game, but considering you can get the floor version for just $10 more (it's $60 now), I expected it to be high quality. I was disappointed. It's made of plastic and is held together with staples and a few stitches. Assembly was quick and easy enough, but it's not very sturdy and looks cheap. It comes with two hard plastic basketballs, making it look more like table pong than a basketball when they bounce off you. We've had smaller balls that work with the set and I don't know why it wasn't designed with balls that look more like basketballs or at least have some texture. There are several hoops through which you can shoot at different points. The electronic scoring worked and the ball return worked. It runs on AAA batteries. It folds up for storage, which is good, but I doubt how long it will last.

Pros
  • Build quality
Cons
  • Not the best
