Good sponges for car care

Bought for the car wash. Sponges are good but my husband doesn't like that only one side is soft and the other is like a mesh. He thinks he'll scratch the car if he accidentally uses the wrong side. I think it's normal to always know which side to grab and which side to touch the car. In this way, if you had small pebbles in your hand, do not use this side and scratch the car.
