These are great stirrers - just make sure you really have a decent stirrer!
I won't talk about popular stirrer models. I bought one and then bought a set of ten 1 inch stirrers to make up for the shortcomings of the stirrer I bought and at the same time I bought another stirrer which cost twenty dollars more than the first and found that the new one record I bought was completely shocked. while the first was mediocre. but they won't work the way you want if you get a dirty stir plate. I really like them though, and when I want more "chunk" in the solution I use them in place of my smaller 1" bars. They're also affordable, which is no small thing. I highly recommend them.
