I bought this hand blender because I make a lot of soups and don't like lifting a heavy saucepan to put it in the blender. It's perfect, enough power to boil a thick soup (beans, veggies) into a creamy soup. multiple speeds and easy to clean. I haven't used the other attachment (egg beater) so not sure how it works, but I recommend this hand blender as it's strong (stainless steel) yet easy to use and hold. Also, I like the extra length so I'm not too close to the heat of the oven to use it. Warning: Read the instructions to note that you cannot do this for more than a minute at a time. Pretty standard and some of the cheaper blenders tend to have shorter times. Excellent customer service and immediately after purchase (new item) was told it had a 2 year warranty. Nice.
