I was so happy when I installed them! It's as easy as fixing them where you want them and placing the solar panel where it gets as much direct sunlight as possible. I have used these to decorate my balcony garden and have found that the warm light color suits the atmosphere perfectly and they are the perfect brightness - they don't burn the retina and aren't blindingly dark. I love how the acrylic lamp covers are filled with little bubbles as they create a lot of surface area for the light to reflect on, making the most of the light output. One issue that others have reported is that they have had problems with tangling wire, but I simply gently stretched the cord to its full length right out of the box and had no problems, although I imagine you could use one without caution can produce small balls. . Also, one of the bulb covers was loose and not sticking to the bulb, but a small amount of clear glue made for shoe sole repair fixed the problem, and I don't think that justifies splicing the star. Personally, I'm not interested in most blink settings, but I see their appeal.
