I load my own ammo so accuracy and stability are critical. I've been using balancers for many years and although they're slow to use, they deliver good results. I've never been interested in the digital scales sold by the usual marksman suspects because their accuracy is consistent at +/- 0.1 grains. A 0.2 grain difference on my charging stand is HUGE and unacceptable. I usually weigh a small amount of fuel; Typically 25 to 45 grains. So when I saw the advertised accuracy of +/- 0.02 grains I got curious and ordered this scale. There is a big difference between 0.04 grains and 0.2 grains! These little digital scales help me with that. However, there are a few tips I can recommend. Here is what I have found to be the best for me: 1. As you fill your tray with fuel you will see the reading on the dial steadily increase as you would expect. However, if you lift the tablet off the scale, let the scale settle and put the tablet back on the scale, the displayed value will be higher than the initial value. Then my solution is to unbalance the tray when my goal weight is close (but lower of course) and allow the scale to settle, reinsert the tray and add a few globs of fuel, lift again and put the tray back on and to let settle. I quickly learned how to do this, and this method is actually easier and faster than using my trusted balancers. So far I've seen zero drift on every value. It displays a constant value until it expires. CONS: I wish there was a way to turn off the auto shutoff feature. I think it's about 30 seconds as is. When I first used the scale, it automatically turned off before I finished weighing and I had to start over. The method described above keeps the scale active. this. Today I loaded 11 .308 caliber rounds in a row and the scale never failed. Definitely recommended! Good luck and keep them in the X ring!
