So before I swap out the whole vacuum I thought I'd give it a try. My vacuum was fine, but the latch on the bottom wouldn't stay closed. I made sure it was compatible with my model and when it arrived it was so easy to replace. Very easy. It worked well for me and I'm so glad I didn't need a new vacuum. Very happy!
