should have done this many years ago

I have struggled with a cracked pool step for several years. I've used two step epoxy rods and flex tape and other quick fixes. Eventually I got fed up as a new crack formed on the step. That's great. I applied the white epoxy pigment before adding the hardener to the epoxy and mixing well. I added the hardener according to the instructions. I also used this 3m Bondo fiberglass fabric to add extra strength as the step feels hollow at the bottom and sags in the middle. worked great. According to the instructions, the processing time after adding the hardener is 12 minutes. It pours well and is easy to paint over with a cheap brush. it hardened in just an hour. Curing time 2 hours. The main thing is to mix for a few minutes after adding the hardener. do not be lazy at this stage. It needs to be mixed thoroughly, paying special attention to the bottom of the container you use for mixing. If you don't do this, the contents at the bottom will be on top and sticky after pouring. and won't set properly if you don't stir it thoroughly. I am very comfortable. it is easy to use. I cut it to size, filled it with a thin layer of epoxy and then laid the fabric. I poured another thin layer of epoxy on top and rubbed the epoxy into the fabric, soaking it and removing any air pockets. Then I poured in the rest of the epoxy to cover the entire project. Now the step is durable and waterproof. All cracks were repaired and reinforced with this fabric and epoxy.
