I think I expected more after using their colored pencils.

These markers work and I think as long as you draw/color the scene/image correctly they will be fine. These are very dark bright colors, as an extra set for painting or painting cars, trains or other brightly colored things, definitely not a set to start with, there are no shades of gray or brown here. The tip of the chisel on some of mine doesn't draw a straight line, I suspect it will change with use and maybe soften a little. I have Prismacolor crayons and I really like them, they set the color line exactly how you want it. The absence of these markings together with the price and the fact that that you cannot return them are the reasons for the 3 star rating. Sorry, Prism Color
