This product does exactly what it says it does, but people often don't read the fine print! The peeling can start as early as 4 days, but also 6-8 days after applying the mask, so you have to be patient. There is no pain associated with exfoliation as long as you don't exfoliate your skin prematurely. The exfoliation can last up to 2 or 3 weeks depending on how quickly your skin repairs itself, so definitely do not use this product a week before an important event. I'm getting married 3 weeks after using the mask and I'll be fine but I've cut my hair a bit. Exfoliation really works! And it leaves your skin very smooth, but it all flakes off at different times on different parts of your legs, so you really have to be patient. Only thing is I would like it to kind of peel more on harder skin areas like the heel, but unfortunately it removes the same number of layers all over the foot. The tips of my toes obviously need less maintenance than my heels, but it makes sense that the toes would fit deeper into the mask and also get a fair amount of product when exfoliating. The best advice I can give is to read the instructions and questions people have asked on the forums. Please note: 1. Do not peel off prematurely sagging skin! Let the chemical do its job.2. Do not add self-tanner while exfoliating. I had a 2 week tan that I thought was gone but was still visible coming off my ankles and feet after a few weeks. As recommended, I put socks on over the foot masks. However, it leaked, and when I sat on the couch I had a towel under my feet. Be careful with the padding of things your feet stand on when wearing a mask!
