Review on Mr Heater F215100 3800 BTU Propane by Tony Meyer

This is a great little heater for camping in a tent. And it raises the temperature in my garage way better than I expected. I had a slight learning curve with my first real use of it. My son and I went hiking with tents at the foot of Kirstal Va mountain. the first weekend of March 2020. It worked great outside, but the first night it turned itself off after 15 minutes before bed. I tried to restart multiple times throughout the night because I was frozen and couldn't sleep. As soon as dawn broke, I opened the tent to make a coffee pot. As soon as I got back to the tent I tried starting the heater and it worked. Within 15 minutes. I thought damn this thing broke. And we're not staying a second night if that thing breaks. I went out to check on the coffee and came back, but this time I didn't zip it all the way up. I accidentally left it 1 foot open. I turned the heater back on and it came on and stayed. It dawned on me that the O2 sensor was turning it off due to lack of ventilation. It stayed on for several hours. I opened the tent roof vent about 8 inches and left the door open a foot and placed the heater next to the vent and facing the sleeping bags. It generated a lot of heat and you never noticed the gap in the doorway that allowed for the cold temperature. in. Suffice to say we slept like babies the second night, only being interrupted once to change the propane tank. They only last about 4.5-5 hours.
