Review on πŸ“ž Ooma HD3 Handset - Cordless Phone with Picture Caller-ID, HD Voice Quality, and Compatibility with Ooma Telo VoIP Free Internet Home Phone Service by Jack Malloy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good -- Excellent

The voice quality is excellent, except for the hands-free system. I have no problem with that. The speakerphone could be improved for clarity, but it's good enough at low to medium volume settings. The overall feel in the hand is very good for me. The screen is excellent - clear and easy to read. There are many settings that make using this phone easy and enjoyable. The phone syncs your contacts. You can adjust the brightness of the screen and even change it to auto-answer when you go off-hook - a very nice feature. I'm updating this review as the battery level issue no longer exists. Not sure if this is a Panasonic firmware or battery update, but the battery level issue is gone. Phone works great! There is one glaring issue that I deducted a star for, the battery issue. You can see 100 % fully charged and make calls and hang up after 3-5 minutes, the battery level shows 50 %. Put it back on the stand and in one minute it shows a 100% battery stand. I switched the batteries to Panasonic and almost the same problem. I think the battery level only shows 3 settings: 100 %, 50 %and 0 %. Even at 0% you can use your phone. Well, rather the battery level is not only inaccurate, but rather defective. I saw this battery problem online just so that you know. Apart from this problem, the phone works without any problems. In addition, despite the battery problem, I bought another HD3 because I really like how it integrates into the Ooma Phone Service. I also bought a OMA TELO and bought an HD3 from Revain. I also have the HD3 black and white version and they both look great! Even now looking at them I can't decide which looks better although I could give the white HD3 a slight edge in looks. Conclusion: Yes, there is a problem with the battery level, but it can be solved without much effort. So I would buy again and bought again! If Ooma fixes the problem with the battery stand, I would give it 5 stars. Although my old Panasonic phone would get 5 stars, I still prefer to use this HD3 with my OMOMA telephone service.
