Great machine, especially for defrosting; costs money!

Just so you know I'm not the type to buy the most expensive because I have to have "the best". I hate paying that much money for a microwave when I can get a decent one for $50 anywhere and I'd love to see it on sale. But I have to say that I think it's worth the money. Quality: I've only had it for two months so I can't comment on its durability but it seems solid and well made; I would be surprised if it didn't take ten years. If it doesn't then I get angry because it's part of what I'm paying for and I'll update this review with some disgust. Cleanliness: It is easier to clean than traditional turntable microwaves, but still has corners and small lip edges. I was kind of hoping for a completely sleek interior, but alas, it's not. However, it is still an improvement over standard machines. Heating: The thing heats up quickly and evenly; the fastest car i have ever owned. At first we had a hard time figuring out exactly how long a frozen corn dog would take to heat up and not burst. (By the way, 40 seconds is a minute too long) Defrost: I would like to give this thing ten stars for this feature. The power comes in four different levels, and unlike most microwaves, these aren't just spaced bursts of power, they're literally varying levels of power. The thaw is so slight that it will probably please the most paranoid germophobes; It was too slow for me so I use low power instead. Either way, the thawing will be amazingly even, and you'll NEVER get those cooked edges with an icy center. If you use your microwave frequently for defrosting, just buy this microwave now and thank me later. Ease of use: This wasn't intuitive. I had to read the instructions to figure out how to program this thing and set it to a specific time. But when I did it turned out to be very easy. Not intuitive, didn't figure it out myself, but definitely not a bit complicated. I didn't have to program it, but I could easily do it if I wanted to. But the gifts are pretty exhaustive and I didn't really want to replace any of them. I imagine this would be a great feature for people who do a lot of reheating and microwave cooking, allowing you to pre-program the cooking level and time down to the second.
