Review on πŸ”² Leick Oval End Table in Slate Black by Shannon Redd

I really love it! Excellent looks, quality, weight, size, excellent packaging and instructions.

Size, shape, appearance, weight. Perfect.Smooth top with oak structure. Solid legs with nice toes; The table moves with a powerful push, but it doesn't slide at all on our oak floors. I don't feel the need to add non-slip rubber elements - also smooth so as not to scratch the floor when intentionally moved. Nice bottom shelf. Installation is a little difficult, but please loosen the screws as instructed before inserting the shelf. I had to unscrew them a bit to fit them. A cute little box that's noticeably lighter in build but is okay overall. Good guide, easy to follow. But please read and follow the instructions, otherwise you may cause unnecessary harm. What I have done wrong. 1) I turned the table top upside down to assemble and heard a chime on the floor. One of the drawer's plastic slides broke in half. The instructions clearly state that you should take out the box before tipping it over, but I skipped that part. There are 2 additional instructions in the package that indicate that this could be an issue. Not sure why the best part is not used to match the quality of the table. If you break it like I did it's very inconvenient to get a tiny screwdriver to fit the space and remove the 2 miniature guide screws. The screws are incredibly tight in the small drawer slide. My husband broke one screw and had to knock off the rest of the guide with pliers to gain access and remove the other screw. We finally fixed it by screwing the "good" screw back in and tightening the remaining screw just enough to keep it working. What did I do wrong 2). I had to put a blanket under the countertop when I threw it upside down on the hard wooden floor because apparently I had moved it (perhaps via a broken track) onto something small and hard on the floor and caused a notch. Lesson learned too late. I still love the table but would suggest making stronger drawer slides to maintain the quality of this lovely beautiful table. Buy it :)
