I have relatives I want to visit but have dogs of my own that don't like to visit them. This is by far the best way for me to tie my dog up during a visit without having to worry about my dog getting tangled up in a tie or getting into a fight with his dogs. The product consists of two simple parts; The first part is simply a loop of rigid cable spliced end to end with a screw connector to form a loop around a tree or similar object, the second part is a piece of cable that acts as a tether at one end to the fitting connected to the loop and the other end connected to a dog to allow the dog to walk around the tree without getting tangled in the traditional harness. It works. It's surprisingly simple in the sense of "why didn't I think of that" and is a great accessory if you want to take your dog to a safe place like a friend's yard but don't want to hurt yourself. friends or leave them in the car. This is a temporary fix as the threaded connection on the hinge requires attention to ensure it doesn't loosen or corrode. I always carry it in my car just in case. I probably use it once a week. I highly recommend it.
