I bought this to connect the headlights on my towed vehicle. This is a very well made product and should last a very, very long time. I soldered the connectors and used marine heat shrink tubing. The weak point when adding wiring to a vehicle or trailer is usually that shearing off the insulation allows moisture to enter the cable and cause corrosion. A good seal is therefore important. This is the best 4-wire trailer cable I've ever seen (and I've been wiring trailers for a long time). The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because I expected a product of this quality to come with a protective case.
