I bought this blender bottle to replace an old model of the same sports blender bottle. The newer model purchased here has a rubber ring on the inside of the lid which I think should help keep the water bottle sealed. While the rubber ring helps prevent leakage, it has mold in the grooves and kinda underneath and can't be removed so I can't get to the entire mold. I should mention that I rinse my blender bottles right after I fill them with anything other than water, and wash them out immediately after I'm not using them at night. I noticed that the mold grew from air drying as recommended and not from the contents of the bottle itself. The look and style was great. No leaks. However, mold is a big problem for me and I would not recommend the product due to mold growth on the lid.
