The Solar Mason Jar Lights arrived in excellent condition having been well packaged. The lid of the jar is plastic, but it's good. Metal ones tend to rust quickly. The lids also fit standard Mason jars if you prefer. The only problem after unpacking was the bad smell of old oil on the cans. It was easy to fix with soap and water. The lights are good and bright. The lids don't let water through despite the heavy rain. Update 9/21/18 Some jars have started to fill up with rainwater. The headlights still work, but this will eventually lead to rusting in the battery compartment. The lenses also began to fade at very different rates, regardless of the water issue or location.
