Review on πŸ”ͺ Spyderco Persistence Folding Knife - 2.77" Blade, Stainless Steel, Black G-10 Handle - PlainEdge (C136GP) by Mike Rubenstein

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great Spyderco quality at an affordable price Made in China!

When I first received the knife I thought it was a little smaller than what I needed for everyday use, but after using the blade for a bit it turned out to be mine previous opinion was wrong and that a slightly smaller and The much more flexible blade will not only be able to handle the tasks that one has to face every day, but even outperform many of them for which I have previously used a larger blade. It comes out very sharp, although I prefer a mirrored edge, so I resharpened it, which was very easy with the steel it's made of. Although this steel is not one of the best used knife steels, hence the price, it performed better than other blades I have that are made from the same steel, probably due to the better heat treatment which, although made in China, probably the methods and standards followed by Spyderco. . While it may be a bit small for the outdoorsman or bushcrafter where things like a baton or self defense would require something heavier, overall this is a great EDC knife for those who do a lot of cutting tasks. Finally, the knife is nice and light and fits neatly into your pocket, which also brings me to my only negative point, and that goes for all Spydercos I've seen in the past, is that it doesn't have a deep carrying clip and many can online found usually cost half that knife, making it difficult to justify adding one instead of the included clip he stocks. Not big just a personal preference for the knife being less visible in my pocket and still easily accessible as opposed to just tossing it in my pocket. However, don't let that stop you from buying what I think is a really good knife for the $40 it's worth!
